Tecno Spark 4 Air (3GB RAM, 32GB Storage) – Better display
The Tecno Spark 4 Air (SPARK4AIR) smartphone released in 2019. It is powered by Mediatek MT6761 chipset, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The Tecno Spark 4 Air runs on Android OS v9.0 (Pie) out of the box. It comes with a Li-Ion 3000 mAh, non-removable battery. It features a 6.1 inches IPS display with 720 x 1560 px resolution. The IPS technology is one of the most leading LCD technologies in the world.
The Tecno Spark 4 Air runs on Android OS v9.0 (Pie) out of the box, but the Spark 4 Air’s firmware can be upgraded to a newer version of OS.
Screen size is measured in inches, diagonally from corner to corner. The 6.1 inches IPS capacitive touch screen with 720 x 1560 px resolution is multitouch capable.
The smartphone’s memory (2 GB) cannot be expanded, but the storage (32 GB) can be expanded with a microSD card.
The camera of the Tecno Spark 4 Air is equipped with autofocus. Autofocus is a camera feature that fine-tunes the focus of the camera, it is a nice feature of this smartphone.
We were a little bit disappointed to still find the same hardware specs that were featured on the Tecno Spark 3 still featured on the Tecno Spark 4. Including the storage space, RAM, and others are all the same.
Powering the Tecno Spark 4 is still the same Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset which runs at 2.0GHz. Don’t get it twisted, the chipset is capable of taking you through all the basic performance such as light gaming, surfing the internet and more.
The smartphone is presented in two types; the first model which happens to be the one with Spark 4 with a 4GB RAM model and 64GB internal storage, while the second is the 3GB RAM model which packs a 32GB internal storage. If you are not comfortable with the internal storage, the two models support memory expansion up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.
Both models run on the latest software, the HiOS 5.5 the company’s software which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. There are currently no words whether the Operating System will be upgraded as of the time of writing. Spark 4 supports the 4G Network as well as the 2 and 3G networks.

The Li-Ion 3000 mAh, non-removable battery gives the smartphone a good battery backup. This is a low maintenance battery. No periodic discharge is needed and charging can be done at random.
It didn’t come as a surprise for us not to see the Wireless charging tech on this smartphone considering the price in which it is sold for as well as the plastic body build.
Nevertheless, we were a little bit disappointed not to see the smartphone arrive with a fast charging technology which you can easily find on most mid-range smartphones. So, don’t expect any speed up charging because you will be disappointed.
The smartphone sensors measure physical quantities and transmit them to the application processor. The phones’s accelerometer is a built-in electronic component that measures tilt and motion. A fingerprint sensor is one of the easiest and most secure ways to protect your smartphone. The proximity sensor detects when a user is holding the phone near their face during a call and turns off the display to prevent keypad presses and battery consumption from the display. The Spark 4 Air has Dual SIM capability, which means that you can insert two different SIM cards and use them both from one phone.
